Mel McCutcheon: Pursuing a horticulture degree, through correspondence, to help her grow her Barehands Landscaping business. $1,000

Stuart Lake Seniors Association: Grant funds will support the transportation costs of the Seniors Helping Seniors program, where seniors volunteer their time to provide transportation to other seniors for social and health needs. The program aims to address the isolation and barriers senior can face in small, northern communities. $750

Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary: The funds will go towards purchasing an ultrasound machine for our local hospital, which will increase the quality of care for all patients. $1,500

Healthy Minds Community Garden: Grant will support the creation of an organic community garden, complete with sitting area and ornamental plants. The garden will produce fresh, organic food for participants and local charities and provide a safe space for all people (especially those suffering from mental health issues) to build community, reduce isolation and participate in a healthy activity. Project is in partnership with other local organizations. $750.00
